Title: Mindball Relay – Trivia + Baton Passing
Prepared by: Charity Helpers Foundation
Date: 2025-06-14
Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Mindball Relay combines physical speed with mental sharpness. Participants must complete trivia challenges at relay checkpoints before they are allowed to pass the baton. The first team to complete the full course with all correct answers wins.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Stopwatch or timer
- 4 trivia stations (tables or chairs work fine)
- Prepared trivia questions (printouts or index cards)
- 2–4 batons
- Track or open running space marked for relay
- Optional: buzzer, whiteboards, score sheets

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- 4-part relay track marked with cones
- At the end of each leg, a trivia station is placed
- Each team rotates through all 4 stations
- Scorekeeper stationed at the finish line

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 4 players per team
- Each player completes one leg of the relay
- At each trivia station, the runner must answer 3–5 questions
- The next runner cannot begin until previous questions are correctly answered

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

To win the Mindball Relay, your team must complete the course the fastest *with all trivia questions answered correctly at each checkpoint*. Incorrect answers result in a 10-second penalty per missed question.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. Questions must be answered solo — no team consultation at checkpoints.
2. Players may not run past the trivia checkpoint until receiving a pass signal.
3. Questions missed are explained afterward by the station judge.
4. All questions must be answered before baton is passed.
5. Teams must use the same trivia category per match.
6. Any rule violation results in disqualification from that round.

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Team Whisper Mode**: Add headsets so teammates can advise in secret.
- **Rolling Trivia**: Have questions read while the runner is in motion, pausing only if they answer incorrectly.
- **Subject Specialization**: Each station has a unique category (math, science, sports, etc.).
- **Tag-Team Style**: Two runners per leg, both must agree on trivia answers.

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Individual trivia accuracy rate
- Fastest total time per team
- Most questions answered without pause
- Number of penalties earned
- Personal best leg time

---

**NOTES**
Mindball Relay offers an exciting mix of brains and brawn. Excellent for school-based charity events, summer camp fundraisers, or mall-based challenges where space is limited but audience engagement is high.
